2013 Fall Worldwide Mom’s Day of Prayer Update

MOMS – God is calling YOU and ME for such a time as this

New Beginnings!

January 2, 2013 – This year certainly brings a New Beginning for me as I take the trip to Washington, D.C. – January 17-20th – with three other precious ladies to hold a MDOP on the Capitol grounds.
God put the vision for a MDOP in my heart in late 1997 after reading an article about moms in Brazil who came together to pray because of the widespread use of drugs, sexual immorality and alcoholism in their country. My Pastor – Dr. Bob Ford – is actually the one who gave me the name – Mom’s Day of Prayer. The first MDOP was held in January 1998.

There was never a thought in my mind that God would be sending me to Washington, D.C. to hold a MDOP. My husband has been totally on board right beside me in this ministry from day one and his immediate response when I shared with him about Washington, D.C. was – “Go!”

Fifty women is the number that we faxed on the form for a permit to host the MDOP on the Capitol grounds. So I am keeping a list of moms who are coming to join me on that morning – 1/19/2013 – from 10 a.m. to noon. Who will fill those 50 spots? Each attendee will be given one state to pray for that morning and will take their card home with them to continue praying for that state daily in 2013.
Moms are signing up daily to host a MDOP in their states but we have some states still not on board. PLEASE share with your FB page, Twitter, websites, and email list asking others to target these states for moms to come on board. “Nothing is impossible with God!”

Some moms are hosting a MDOP in their churches, their homes, in Community Centers, on radio shows, and the latest idea is an online Facebook MDOP. These are ALL wonderful and I am so thankful for EACH OF YOU!!

I have a notebook with each Coordinator’s name and your information. Daily Melinda, my assistant, and I are praying for each of you and your families. With all my heart, I believe NEW BEGINNINGS are coming to our nation, our families, our schools, our work places, and our churches.

These are the scriptures God gave me in 2006 at the local MDOP when He called me to take MDOP outside of Ft. Smith, AR to the world. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, “The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body – whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free – and were all given the one Spirit to drink.” What was God saying to me through these verses? He wanted me from the beginning in 1997 to know this was about joining together across Christian denominational lines. Baptist would go to an Assembly of God church to attend a MDOP, Catholics would go to a non-denominational church, Methodist would go to a Pentecostal church, etc.

I have seen the denominations coming together and it is beautiful! It has not been an easy journey for me even in my area. Some churches will still not publicize the MDOP because it is not a certain denomination but God still moves in the hearts of moms to come no matter what Christian denomination it is held in. I LOVE IT!!! IT IS MY PASSION!!

So thank you from the bottom of my heart to each of you for hosting a MDOP in your area! It is going to be an amazing 2013! 2 Chronicles 7:14, “IF my people, who are CALLED by my name, will HUMBLE themselves and PRAY and SEEK my face and TURN from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will HEAL THEIR LAND.”

Let’s Humble Ourselves and Come Together in One Accord to Pray in ALL 50 States!
